The Best Areas For Gamers In The US

Part of the joy of gaming is that you can play anywhere, with anyone from across the world - as long as you have an internet connection. But are there some places that are just better for keen gamers?

SlotSource.com looked at some of the top draws for gamers, like super-fast internet speeds and gaming industry job opportunities. It looks like gamers on the West Coast might have hit the jackpot, with two Californian cities coming out on top – but the East Coast is not far behind, with three New Jersey cities making the top 5.

For gamers who fancy their chances at breaking into the gaming industry, Harbor City in Los Angeles certainly looks like the winning ticket. It boasts hundreds of gaming jobs in the area, plenty of gaming facilities and things to do, as well as lightning-quick internet.

Here is our ranking of the top 25 areas for gamers to live in the US – so if your “Call of Duty” skills need some work, maybe it’s time to consider a move.

Methodology

To calculate the best areas for gamers index, we first normalized the data categories and the following metrics were used per city: internet speed, online searches for “video games,” current number of gaming jobs and number of gaming facilities to calculate a total index score for each city.
